ipTEST have developed a +200A booster for the M2 LV test generator to increase the capability of M2 systems to 400A and more.

The 200A+ booster is an additional card which plugs into the common M2 backplane and acts as a slave to the main 200A LV generator. An separate power supply for each booster means that the charge time between tests is not increased and overall productivity is maintanined. Fitting additional booster cards increases the LV generator capability in 200A steps.

Adding the booster still maintains the overall M2 LV measurement accuracy of 0.1% and like all M2 gnerator boards, it incorporates electronic board ID for remote system auditing and verification that the loaded test plan matches the hardware capability. The booster is designed for SEMI S8 compliance and incorporates safety features such as a visual warning of hight voltages present at the output terminals and discharge circuitry when not testing or if the board is unexpectedly removed from a ‘hot’ system. Diagnostics boxes and Kelvin check adaptors are also available for periodic system verification.
